Big thanks to those who have volunteered to help out with Toronto Jam 2014. Without these folks, the event would not be happening: Kevin Seabrook, Zeb Dennis, Greg Stephens, Joe Hanik, Stephen Hall, Mike DiMarco, Eric Favot, Francois Bondu, Cheryl Bradley and Spencer Ryan.
If you love BMX but won’t be entering the comp this time around, more help is still required for the event. That does mean you.
Helping to put the course together: 8:00am to 6:00pm, Wednesday February 26 and Thursday February 27. You must be able to spend the entire day there and see the job through to completion. Drop a line to firstname.lastname@example.org
For the event itself, you need to be able to commit to the entire weekend. That’s Friday February 28 from 10:00am to 9:00pm, Saturday March 1 from 8:00am to 7:00pm and Sunday March 2 from 8:00am to 6:00pm. I need help with: Course Maintenance and Upkeep, Prizing, Results Tabulation, Course Marshall, Timer, Bike Security, Catering, Registration, Video/Web/Media Updates, Event Runner (need a vehicle), Organizing the Joyride Event, and Bike Repair. Send Mike a note with what you’d be able to do: email@example.com
The most difficult part of the weekend is dismantling the course and loading out the trailers Sunday night, March 2. It starts at 7:00pm and goes until everything is loaded. It usually goes until midnight. It’s tough work, but it’s as important as the rest of the weekend in terms of running a great event. You’ll actually make a little pocket money for your efforts this night: that’s how important it is! I really need folks to sign up for this so I know that we can run the entire event. Please.
