REGISTRATION FOR TORONTOBMXJAM 2013

We’re getting ready to welcome you to the Toronto BMX Jam for 2013.

The course design has been reviewed and adjusted by Brett Banasiewicz to make sure it will be a fun challenge for you. We’re going to be doing a few things over the weekend to try and raise some funds to help him out on his long road to recovery.

Everything looks like a great weekend for riding and meeting up with friends. If there’s anything that can be done to make your weekend even better, be sure to let us know.

WHAT’S AN EXPERT CATEGORY?  It’s the “inbetween” group of riders – and it’s a personal call for you. You’ve been riding for awhile, have a bag full of tricks that make you one step above “amateur”, but you’re not quite at the “pro” or sponsored level yet. If you’ve been at the Toronto Jam in the past and placed well in Amateur, it’s time to move up. Any amateur who placed in the top 5 in the past will be automatically moved up. And for this Jam, any rider placing in the top 5 of either Amateur or Open will be moved up the next year.

COST: $50 that includes a great shirt, meals and refreshments for your riding day, assistance with operation costs, and a contribution to our Brett Banasiewicz fund.

HOTEL: We’ll have a suggested one on the website soon.

FLIGHT: If you’re coming from a city serviced by Porter Airlines, keep in mind that they don’t charge for luggage, including bikes. They’re always having great sales. And they land right downtown, so you’ll have no worries about getting to the site.

BUT YOU DECIDE TO LAND AT THE BIG AIRPORT ANYWAY?: Let us know when you are arriving and we’ll try to meet you. Otherwise, take public transit (TTC-$3): the 192 Rocket bus to Kipling Subway Station, then the subway to downtown. Exhibition Place is located just west of the downtown area.

PRIZES FOR 2013:  All categories will have prizing for the TOP10 RIDERS. If you win a prize, PLEASE pick it up before you leave. We won’t be able to mail the prizes to you later – they are just too big!! As well, their will be CASH prizes for the top 3 finishers in LADIES and EXPERT, the top 10 finishers in PRO and the winner of the BEST TRICK COMP.
